The Setouchi trienale is a wonderful art festival that takes place on various islands located in Japan’s Inland Sea. The islands, include Naoshima the setting of Benesse Art Site Naoshima activities.

This autumn, atelier EURA visited the island and were reminded of the genius that is behind Japanese design's ingenuity.

This is just an example that illustrates our viewpoint: It is the ticket pavilion for the Chichu Art Museum, and it was designed by Tadao Ando. As far as we know, it is older than 7 years (that was the first time we visited) and you can hardly tell.

The detailing is superb and the choice of a limited pallet of materials has provided the design with a high degree of quality and a timeless feel.
